A Rapidly Growing Population
The rapid growth of the SaveTheDPS initiative reflects a profound community-led transformation, as evidenced in the table below, our current enrollment of 150 students returning to a revitalized educational environment. A dedicated team of 9 teachers supports this enrollment and draws students from five key villages, with Egbelu Nguru contributing the largest share of 115 pupils. The campaign's momentum is further validated by the successful execution of key events like the DPS Children's Day on May 28, 2026 (second edition), the DPS Spelling B competition (2025 edition), and ongoing preparations for future milestones such as the Pupils' Excursion to Imo International Airport and Petros Farm (to ignite the entrepreneurial spark in them). Together, these figures and active project statuses demonstrate a unified effort to restore institutional sustainability and provide high-quality educational infrastructure for the next generation.
